 122nd High School Day 

     Ilocos National High School celebrates its 122nd High School Day. Students, alumni, teachers, and staff come together for this historic event at Field with a day filled with excitement, laughter, and unity, which honours the school's legacy of excellence, resilience, and community.

     As we gather to celebrate, we reflect on the varied artwork of encounters, connections, and achievements that have shaped the history of Ilocos National High School. Our story of growth and development, from humble beginnings to becoming a regional leader in education, grows annually.

      This year's celebration is focused on both looking back and looking forward with enthusiasm. It's about reminding us of our commitment to academic excellence, overall growth, and giving back to society. It's about honouring the traditions and values that have guided us thus far while embracing innovation and change for the future.

       The celebration ended with a dance festival, where students displayed their skills and creativity through a variety of dance performances, which was one of the day's highlights. As students cheered on their classmates and danced to the music, their energy and enthusiasm spread throughout the environment.

"EmpowerHER: We Make Change Work for Women"

👭WOMEN'S MONTH👭

    The celebration, themed "We Make Change Work for Women" this year, strives to highlight women's empowerment as active contributors to development. This development effort is also based on the idea of "Malasakit at Pagbabago," which stands for True Compassion and Real Change.

    Furthermore, R.A. 6949 s. President Aquino signed "An Act to Declare March Eight of Every Year as a Working Special Holiday to be Known as National Women's Day" on April 10, 1990. The law enhanced the celebration's progress by recognizing March 8 as a special working holiday. 

    We continue to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments, efforts, and strength of women throughout this year. As we consider the significance of this month, let us look at the progress accomplished, the problems encountered, and the empowering efforts that open the way for a better future for women. 

    While we celebrate improvements, we must also remember the ongoing challenges that women face today. Progress is still affected by gender inequity, violence against women, and limited opportunities. Women's Month acts as an opportunity to tackle these problems together and make progress towards a society that is more inclusive and equal.

    In addition, Women's Month is a great chance to fight prejudices and cultural norms that limit women's potential. We can build a society that recognises and respects women's contributions in all aspects of life by promoting positive role models, encouraging different representation in the media, and creating inclusive arguments.

        To sum up, as we commemorate Women's Month in 2024, let us recall our accomplishments and dedicate ourselves to empowering women for a better future. By encouraging gender equality, giving equal opportunities, and asking for traditional conventions, we may build a world in which every woman may succeed and contribute to societal progress. Let us work together to create a future in which women's achievements are honored on a daily basis rather than simply during Women's Month.

        Being both a student and an entrepreneur at the same time can seem like an impossible task in the hectic, highly competitive world of today. Nevertheless, the term "estudyantepreneur" has come into trend, emphasizing how students can fit their academic pursuits with business ventures.

         Multitasking is a skill that an estudyantepreneur must acquire. While managing academic obligations and entrepreneurial activities can be difficult, doing so can be a great way to advance one's skills and abilities. Students can succeed in both areas by learning time management skills, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining discipline.

   There are obstacles in the journey of becoming an estudyantepreneur. Resilience, determination, and a willingness to grow from mistakes are important. Although balancing the responsibilities of school with entrepreneurial activities can be challenging and tiring, these experiences help people grow as people and build stronger individuals. Accepting challenges and growing from mistakes are important aspects of the estudyantepreneur journey. 

       To conclude, students can combine their love of entrepreneurship with their academic goals by becoming estudyantepreneurs, which is a unique and fulfilling experience. In addition to encouraging creativity and innovation and the development of critical skills, it provides a platform for both professional and personal growth. Students who successfully manage their time, look for guidance, and overcome challenges can succeed as estudyantepreneurs. Thus, don't be afraid to take this exciting journey and become an estudyantepreneur if you have a business idea or a passion for entrepreneurship. Is Valentine's Day all about love?

    󠀸󠀸   Valentine's Day, a day dedicated to love and affection, happens around the world on February 14th annually. It is a time when people express their love and gratitude to their loved ones, friends, and family members. The heart is one of the most well-known Valentine's Day emblems, expressing love, compassion, and dedication. Couples frequently share sentimental cards, flowers, chocolates, and other gifts of affection to convey their love and admiration for one another. Restaurants and cafés are decorated for Valentine's Day, with special menus and a romantic setting for couples to enjoy peaceful moments together.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.❤

      However, Valentine's Day entails more than just expensive gifts and kind deeds. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Think about sharing joy and love on this day. Send a sincere letter to a friend, surprise a loved one with their favorite treat, or volunteer with a charitable group. Compassion and love can come from small acts of kindness.

     Furthermore, let us remember the value of self-love and self-care in the middle of the celebrations. Spend some time reflecting on your own well-being and prioritizing self-care. Treat yourself to something you enjoy, practice mindfulness, or do things that make you happy. Remember that loving oneself is equally important as loving others. 

  

 In addition, all forms of love should be celebrated and respected on Valentine's Day, making it a fair celebration. This presents a chance to celebrate uniqueness and encourage equality. Whatever one's gender, gender identity, or state of relationship, let's celebrate love. Give anyone who might be feeling alone or rejected during this time your love and support.

"The pride of our culture and tradition with treasure where the past and the future collide"

    An annual event in Ilocos Sur, the Kannawidan Festival highlights the rich cultural legacy of Ilocano people by showcasing history, arts, cuisine, and way of life. 

    The name "kawanawidan" is derived from the word "tawid," which in English means "tradition, legacy, and heritage." Founded in 2008, it highlights regional products, encourages people to learn about and appreciate local culture, traditions, and customs, and grows the tourism industry. In addition, this event commemorated the separation of Provincia Ilocos into Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur and eventually created Abra and La Union.

    The Ilocos Sur Festival holds great significance in the development of our province's economy by attracting foreign visitors and providing support to small businesses. This improves the local economy and contributes money for the community's general well-being by improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other essential services.

    Moreover, the Ilocos Sur Festival is an important occasion in Ilocos Sur that promotes and preserves the cultural heritage of the region. Traditional dances, cultural performances, delicious cuisine, drone light and dancing fountain shows, fireworks, pet exhibits, and contests are just a few of the events that the Ilocos Sur Festival is known for. In addition, there are street dancing, festival dance competitions, talent shows, displays, athletic events, and other enjoyable events, putting our province on the map as a must-visit destination. 

    Overall, the Ilocos Sur Festival contributes significantly to the development of our province by promoting cultural preservation, tourism, economic growth, and unity among people. The Ilocos Sur Festival will surely be crucial in determining how Ilocos Sur develops in the future and guaranteeing the province's prosperity and cultural diversity.
